Relationships with Families
At our school parents' participation is just as essential as the participation of children and facilitators, and we function as a “three-party system” within the community at large. Throughout the year our pedagogical team meets with parents to discuss all areas of their child's development. Group and individual project work, and detailed daily observations of each child by facilitators, form the basis of reporting to parents.
Every week, a small group of families will be invited to the school to exchange feedback with facilitators. These informal conversations are scheduled according to the family's availability, but always after school. All families should attend these meetings at least twice a year.
Parent Meetings are held three times a year, and are an opportunity for closer connection to other parents and the facilitators.
Confidentiality
Please be mindful that any information that parents give us in relation to their child or their family relationships is strictly confidential and should under no circumstances be shared with other parents, or talked about outside the school.
Communication protocol
If a parent wishes to contact you, they will send an email to [email protected]. Once the Director has determined whether it is necessary for one of you to reply, we will forward it to the appropriate facilitator(s). You will then be able to reply directly to the parent, although their email address will not appear, in compliance with GDPR regulations. The Director will receive a copy of the message you send. Please check your message for spelling mistakes or typos before sending it.
